A version of NISTtime for the Psion 5 is now available. It has been developed on the PC emulator only (I do not have a P5) and only given limited testing on a real machine by a single person unknown to me. Accordingly the caveats on use of my free programs being at the risk of the user are strongly emphasised for this program.
I have endeavoured to make the P5 version as conformant as is reasonable with P5 modes of use; in particular the program can be stopped in the usual ways (via toolbar or typing "Esc") while it is attempting to dial or connect.
Similarly because text files are more awkward to use on the Psion 5, and I have not tried writing spreadsheet files directly, if the user wishes to maintain a spreadsheet of corrections and to graph them (see Logging of Time Corrections) the data can be transferred via the clipboard.
Installation is via a "SIS" file. Note that there are three support libraries embedded within the SIS file as distinct installations of their own. These may already be installed on a user's machine. If not, note that the "cliptext" component will offer the option to install two versions of instructions. These are intended for program developers and will be of little interest to others.
