I have been working on a Psion
3A/C/MX program to maintain a database of Garmin GPS waypoints.
It differs from the well-known program "PsiGar" in that
it gives a listing display like, for instance, "JBData"
or newer Psion "Data" applications and in displaying
waypoint symbols as shown by Garmin GPS-II+ and GPS-III
navigators and some other models. GPS-12 and 12XL are reported OK
too.
The symbols are displayed using a pair of font files (for the two
zoom levels) which are issued with the application. The selection
panel of symbols for a GPS-III , as extracted from a screen shot
while running the editor, is shown above.
The latest version shows waypoint co-ordinates in UTM, or
Ordnance Survey co-ordinates for UK residents, and can directly
up and download and edit waypoints and routes. It has a database
of 100+ geodetic datums. To assist potential users to decide
whether they might wish to download the program, an HTML copy of
the "Help" file is visible from the link below.
